ELIZABETA HÈDEVÁRY (HUNGARY)
THE MAIDEN WITH THE HEART OF A WARRIOR.

While she may not look it, Hungary is actually one of the oldest countries in Europe, born in 896 A.D. as an ancestor of Maygar. Due to her history of wars and battles, she grew into a strong warrior at a very young age. Throughout most of her childhood, she bullied weaker opponents alongside Gilbert Beilschmidt (Prussia), and believed herself to be male, relying on her own theory that a boy's penis doesn't actually "grow in" until puberty. (This may or may not have had a negative affect on Prussia's sanity.)

The friendship-slash-rivalry continued until war over territories broke out between the two of them, and a teenage Hungary was forcibly taken control of by Roderich Edelstein (Austria), one of the nations that she actually used to terrorize as a child, under the rule of the Holy Roman Empire.

Even though she was technically being held against her will in the Holy Roman Empire's house by Roderich, Hungary was a pleasant girl who helped out around the house and worried greatly about Roderich as the Holy Roman Empire began to dissolve.

During the War of Austrian Succession, Hungary helped defend Austria against her childhood friend, Prussia, causing him to flee and once again proving that she was a force to be reckoned with. Despite her efforts, Prussia made off with Silesia, causing Hungary to go into vapid-stalker mode in order to track him down and demand that he give back what he stole.

Hungary and Prussia clashed once again during the Seven Years War, when Hungary, still holding a pretty vicious grudge against Prussia for what he had done to Austria, decided to storm Prussia's house and challenge him to a fight. Hungary seems to have long forgotten the days of their childhood; now, every time she sees Prussia, all she feels is the need to take him on in battle and beat him up for his crimes against Austria (and, one would think, for generally being a jerk to everyone).

Austria and Hungary would later marry in 1867, forming the Austro-Hungarian Empire, a strong union that lasted for 51 years before dissolving due to the events of World War One. Despite this, Austria and Hungary have remained close, and it is often speculated that the two are still together in some way.

Because of her people's past hardships and the wars that she has fought, Elizaveta is a strong-willed, determined fighter with a strong sense of loyalty to her allies. Despite being a slight introvert, Elizaveta is a complete tomboy -- in fact, when she was a younger nation, she was thoroughly convinced that she was a boy, which led to more than traumatic experiences for her then-rival, Gilbert. During her childhood, she was a bit of a bully, but grew into a slightly more refined woman as the years progressed. This, of course, doesn't mean that Elizaveta will not hesitate to lay the smackdown on anyone who wrongs her or her allies, whether it be physically, mentally, or sexually otherwise.

On that note, Elizaveta is a bit of a voyeur, despite her claims of a pure maiden's heart. When most inappropriate things happen, she can be found slipping around the corner with a camcorder; but when she is caught doing so, she immediately scolds the very people that she was watching for being indecent and impure. A wonderful example of this is the way that Elizaveta will actually allow others to practically molest Roderich, her close friend, rumored (yet unconfirmed) boyfriend, and previous husband, before she steps in to stop them.

Elizaveta seems to be especially equipped with a frying pan for situations like these, but the use of her flying pan is not limited to only perverse situations - in fact, she often uses it on her former friend, Gilbert, whom she still holds a grudge against. She also has a camcorder, though how she managed to get her hands on one before television was even invented is a mystery.

Elizaveta is friendly and open to conversation with just about everyone. She lives to find joy in almost everything she does, and enjoys being around the people that she cherishes.
